Hola amigos!
Thisa will be a slightly more real update :p. But only slightly. So much crap has been going on that I can´t possibly blog about it all and will have to just tell you when I see you. I am keeping a diary tho so that I don´t forget it all.
Snowboarding is fully rad! Its funny, all the american snowboarders here use all words like rad and sick and all kinds of cliche phrases. They´re pretty fun tho.
So, I´ve been to LA where I did all my orientation stuff, rode a midnight bus for 12 hours across the californian countryside with a bunch of deadbeat lookin people, gone snowboarding nearly every day, strained a tendon in my knee which put my out of action for two days, smacked my knee on a rock which hurt like bugger but doesn´t prevent me from continuing to snowboard, stumbled home drunk through a snowstorm, drank for 12 continuous hours last night at the sierra employee party and ended up in a ninja mood during which i found my way into the roof space of the 18th floor of a casino and subsequently emerged into the kitchen of a restaurant, got picked up by a ute full of drunken people on the way home (i had fallen asleep in the roofspace for about an hour) and rode in their tray which was full of snow, been able to land some jumps on my snowboard (i bought one, its fully sic), and apparantly I won a $5000 scholarship for my honours course next year. So its pretty wicked here atm. Next week is going to be ridiculously busy coz of the holidays, I have to work for 6 days a week. I get to go out riding for an hour or so usually tho which rocks.
Anyway, thinking of you all, hope you´re all safe and well and partying hard. If I don´t post before christmas I wish you all a very merry one!
PS they have shit sausages here, and you can´t buy 2kg slabs of them like you can at home. However, alcohol is very cheap, which I feel is compensation. $25 for a 1.75L bottle of vodka, $12 for a slab of 18 beers. Booyaa! My housemates have been teaching me spanish too, I´ve been learning pickup lines: Vos sos una chika linda!
