Damn 3dness

Well to get my viola all awesome-3d like will some better electronics would cost me and extra $1450, so I have decided that I will keep the flat body and normal electronics. I was considering it, but it would leave me in debt to my dad, which I'd then feel obligated to work to pay back, and thats just not cool. Plus the instrument would then be worth $3900 and I'd be starting to feel afraid to take it anywhere. At least knowing how much extra that stuff will cost allows me to be happy with what I CAN get. I wasn't so happy about settling for a flat body before, but now I'm perfectly fine with it :P.
Whether i get 6 strings is under consideration also, the guy making it isn't sure how well the original electronics will handle it. I decided to trust him with it and told him to only give me 6 if he thinks it will work ok. Oh yeah, and I'm getting it in black now.
In other news I witnessed the construction of a gianormous pyramid in UO last night, it was quite awe-inspiring. Couldn't even finish the top of it because it went higher than UO could handle.

Damn crappy timetable

So yeah, my timetable came out exactly like the one I put up a few posts down. It's pretty poor, but it couldn't have been any better so I suppose I should be happy. Though I won't be because goddamn electrical engineering has DESTROYED MY QUALITY THURSDAY!!! *unintelligible murmurs of pure rage*
Anyway I've been sitting around the last couple of days waiting for the damn violin guy to e-mail me back with what should be the final details of the deal for me so I can actually order the damn thing and get the process underway. It seems I'll be getting 6 strings now -why not I thought- and whether or not it will have a flat body is still under deliberation. I'm hoping that it will not. The guy better reply tomorrow because I've had 2 days with nothing, which sucks when waiting for such finalising information.
Ok that'll do, bye.

Update time

Well, it's been a while since I updated. Not that much has happened, except that I got a friggen parking fine. $102 for parking in a loading zone, what bullshit is that? It got me pretty mad, I am now able to understand why people terrorise parking inspectors. Heh, there were some amusing things that I read while I was brushing up on my Australian parking law to try and get out of the fine, such as advice from a criminal attourney of some kind about things you shouldn't say to the parking inspector in court: "Don't tell the inspector to 'get a REAL job', you'd fall over if you knew how much some of these guys make..."
Anyway, that sucks.
In other news, i'm seriously pondering buying a 5-string electric viola. It'd be kickarse. Only problem is it costs $2300, which I can't quite cover yet. I only need a bit more though, so if get that cash I'll buy one. I got a cd off a guy in QLD who makes them, his have a pretty impressive sound so I'll get one of his. That $2300 is his price btw, other ones in the US and such that i've seen have been more than that, some of them looking a lot crapper too. I don't want to get some shitty yamaha one, those are poor, they don'y come in 5 string style anyway. I'd get one with harlequin paint, which changes colour in different light, but it costs an extra $200, which is a little steep for paint imo. Cool paint, true, but I can get cool shiny red or something without paying an extra $200.
If I do get one of these things then Jason, I'm rocking down to your place and plugging it into your fx unit. You know you want to find out what the hell a violin sounds like with effects :P.

Now that that's done with, I had something else I thought I'd share. See, for a while now I have pondered on occasion what happens when you go to sleep. Not what you'd normally expect, I mean way out stuff. For instance, what if every time you go to sleep, your conciousness leaves your body and goes off someplace else, into a horrible void perhaps, and a new one takes it's place but gains all your memories and everything so that when it wakes up, it thinks its just the same as yesterday. You'd never be able to tell that every day when you woke up it was a different conciousness inhabiting your body, and it wouldn't affect the life of the body in any way at all, but it does leave you with this: when you go to sleep tonight will your conciousness will leave your body and never return, leaving you in a horrible void for all eternity thereafter? Your body will just wake up tommorow and never know the difference, but will you, in pure conciousness form, no longer inhabit your body? Freaky eh? How can you ever know it doesn't happen? Well, I guess we'll find out tonight :P. So people, if my conciousness is to leave my body tonight I'd just like to say thanks dudes, lifes been pretty swell, you're all cool. This blog will obviously continue like nothing has happened though :P.
