Picture War

Forget the rest of the Jase's quiz. Don't get me wrong, it was better than regular quizes, but i'm still too lazy to do the rest of it. So, I say we just continue the picture war part, coz thats kind of cool. It's like that weird japenese game where they send photos back and forth between their phones.
Anyway...

Stupid Exams

Stupid materials engineering. So very unhelpful as far as studying goes. It's a new subject so there are no past exams, they didn't give us any practice exams and I can't find past exams from similar subjects. So, not entirely sure what I'm supposed to study. It's pretty crap. At least I'll only have maths to go after this, and that definately has past exams to do. Then I will be free! FREE!
For about a day, and then I have my army induction weekend. Which I've been told is a real snooze. Still, I get paid for it. On the plus side I'm probably not going to queensland after that, apparantly the courses are really packed atm and we probably won't get in. Not that I don't want to do it, but at the moment I think I'd rather have my holidays. I'll do the whole 6-weeks in one big shebang at the end of the year, when I have plenty of holidays to spare.
In other news, I broke my record for holding my breath, previously it was about two and a half minutes, but it is now three minutes seventeen seconds!
Oh yeah, on saturday I played sport with MonUR against MUR, our enemy regiment. Indoor cricket, indoor soccer and indoor beach volleyball were the sports of the day. We lost one game of cricket and won the other, overall monash won that. Soccer we were beaten 3-2, it sucked, they scored the last goal about 30 seconds from the end. It was pretty fun though, very 'spirited'.
After that we went back to the unit and had award presentations and food and stuff, later on there was a centurion. It was kind of an insane centurion though, we were using freakin shooters. At least 45ml, though I wouldn't be surprised if they were 60ml. One shot a minute. We had to make up a rule for going to pee, coz there was no possible way of finishing otherwise. The peeing rule involved taking a penalty shot and being back within a minute, then catching up whatever was missed. Everyone had to pee around 40 or 50, though we'd already lost a couple by then. I ended up being the 3rd last person in, spewing at 92. The last two guys both finished. I was extremely drunk by then and don't remember much else.
Meh I better go study.
Oh yeah, I forgot, apparantly I get to fire a rocket launcher during that six week course at the end of the year. So cool.

Craziness

Well, I've been along to the Monash University Regiment (Heretofore referred to as MONUR) wednesday night training once, and suddenly I found myself up in the city last night for the 21st birthday of one of the guys there. His dad just happens to be a brigadier so his party was in the officers mess at Victoria Barracks on St Kilda rd. It was pretty good, not really any dancing, open bar, surprisingly many people I knew from uni, my kind of party. Was good to get to know the other guys in my unit a bit too, should make settling in a bit easier and everything. After the bar closed a bunch of us ended up at some other bar in the city, can't remember where it was or what it was called. There had been quite a bit of bourban consumed by that stage. Crashed at one of the guy's houses (where my car was), had early-morning pasta and watched blackadder.
Also I have an exam tomorrow, three more after that, my induction training weekend no sooner than exams are over and then off to queensland for training for the two weeks right before uni starts again. So, there go my holidays, pretty much planned out from now on. I get paid at least. I'm still kind of in wtf mode.
