Lolz

Vgcats is awesome. If you don't know what I'm talking about, click on the link to the right ---> and edumacate yourself. Such twisted humour. So awesome.
In other news, I'm procrastinating because I don't want to do any work. I notice however that Shaz is way ahead of me and not one day back from holidays is already posting crazy myspace bulletins again :p.
Snowboarding was fracking cool. Possibly the coolest thing I have ever done. I am now officially addicted to snowboarding. Sadly, it has caused me to part with a lot of cash and so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to afford to do it again. It's extremely sad. It was a pretty awesome weekend even without the snowboarding; thanks to all you guys who did organising and driving and such and let me kick back and do nothing. I owe you one.
Other than that, my life is kind of complicated in various ways atm. People problems, money problems, time management problems, etc. I'm fairly happy atm though so thats good, but a few things kind of need my attention in the future and I don't really look forward to that. Maybe that's what's so cool about snowboarding, you can just jump on and speed off into the snow, with no thought other than staying on your board and going fast. It's very freeing. It'd be nice to just stay up there and snowboard day after day, without a care in the world, if such a thing were possible. Some people seem to manage to get something similar, at least temporarily. There are so many different paths one could take through life, but its hard to change from one to the other. Meh I gotta go to class. Peace out.

Comments:
In 2006, a string theory paper by Shamit Kachru and three colleagues used "embiggen" to describe the Myers effect on D-branes: "...we could argue that there is a competing effect which can overcome the desire of the anti-D3s to embiggen, namely their attraction towards the wrapped D5s." [6] Upon reviewing the paper, another scientist commented that its references were "perfectly cromulent".

Lol, yes, that is the paper that led me eventually to the wikipedia article on simpsons made up words :p.

There's always time for crazy Myspace bulletins! :P

Life is supposed to present various paths for us to choose from, it's called "Free Will". The important thing is to choose wisely, and often, making sure that we don't miss out on the joys and experiences that lie beyond our comfort paths. Life would become very boring and predictable if we stayed on the same path continuously! All of life is a journey. Which paths we take, what we look back on, and what we look forward to is up to us. We determine our own destination. One day at a time is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.

Live for now Benji xoxo

Not sure I agree with you there. It's important to remember the past in order to learn from it, and if you don't think about the future, you'll just drift through life and never make much of a difference. I also believe that only thinking about the present is a good way to screw up the future. And sure, we can change the course of our lives if we want to, but i'd rather get it right the first time, it gives you more time to get to the places you want to go.

Remember the past and learn from it, sure, but don't let the mistakes or bad experiences from yesterday hold you back from enjoying today. Of course we need to keep the future in mind, but there's no point worrying about tomorrow, as it's not set in stone, and can be changed. We make our own destiny, so it's upto us to make it a miraculous one, which includes experiencing everything we can. The illusion of "getting it right the first time" is unrealistic, we are human, and therefore designed to make mistakes. Without endeavoring different paths and experiences how will you truly know what you want, and where you want to end up?

"We like to live thinking we will never die. Do not die thinking you have never lived."

Are there any other worn out, cheesey cliches that we can stuff into this thread?

Shush Fudge, you know you love them! :P
